Out Patient Department Module


Basic front desk module which assigns each patient with a unique lifetime registration ID to enable easy data retrieval anytime. Registration contains all mandatory demographic details of the patient. Registration can be for general patients, for corporate clients as well as staff / scheme enrollees.
Updating / editing of data easily done thru the screens. Registration can be for clinical consultation, diagnostics, corporate health check-ups, immunization camps etc & are cross linked with referring doctors, visit details, appointments scheduled etc. At glance info of appointments taken, confirmations, rescheduling possible from reception / registration desk.
 Consultants’ details maintained in a separate database.  Appointment scheduling for clinicians, diagnostics incorporated. Billing is part of the module so as to enable bill generation & cash mgmt at the reception counter. Trend analysis possible on various details of the patient as well as consultants eg detailed MIS reporting on patient specifics, clinicians’ performance, utilization etc.

Systems administration & security module

This module goes with every module implemented by the client. The system admin module allows the system administrator to set users & their rights [ read only, only add new records, modify / edit records, delete records etc ]for accessing the HIMS from any given workstation in the hospital. Even if only an independent module like Inventory is installed, this module allows the administrator of the module to institute a protocol for accessibility & user rights, as the core module includes critical commercial as well as IPR – related data.

Simultaneously, the security section becomes critical for maintaining the ‘privacy, confidentiality & security’ of any type of patient related data within the other core modules implemented. Not just the EMRs
[ electronic medical records ], but  other related data need to be maintained in highest security to honor the physician-patient relationship & the implied  consent thru it. The system permits only authorized users with preset user rights to access the core module screens from pre-specified workstations. It also maintains an audit log; a detailed chronicle of who accessed the HIMS when, from where & for how long, thereby acting as a control tool & deterrent for misuse.

1. Central Registration 
(ID given to patient is lifetime ID)

Add, Update, View, Search Records.

Level etc.
 

2. Appointments

Maintain database of consultants.
Consultant timings , days etc.
Appointment scheduling for patients.
Search / confirm appointments.
Reschedule appointments.

3. Reception / enquiry help

At-a-glance patient info (registration-demographics)
Appointments' help.
Generation of print-outs for registration, billing, OPD tickets etc.

 

4. Billing / Cash Mgmt

Cash mgmt of the registration for OPD, IPD can be done at this stage itself.
Generation of bills for registration, follow-up
Payment statements for the admin for MIS as per requirement.

 

5. MIS
(Management Information Systems)

Analysis of the data mined to convert info meaningful info required for informed decision-making.
Basic MIS of utilization, category-wise revenue generation etc in-built.
Analysis / report-generation as per requirement.
